News from the studio...

There's so much new I don't know where to begin. First off, Spinning Yarns Press now sells frames! I've got a great line of wooden frames -- hand painted to match your room decor. They are available in brights for kid's rooms and beautiful glazes for your living and dining areas. You have to see to fully appreciate. They're wonderful!

I've also added beautiful floating frames that complement canvas gallery wraps for a sophisticated look. The canvas sits inside the frame so that you can still see the side of the image. They're proving to be very popular.

The new baby studio has been open for a couple of months now and I'm loving it. Babies are such great subjects! If you are expecting or you know somebody who is expecting, please give me a call. I'm still offering free photo sessions to babies in their first two weeks of life! Add a gift certificate for prints and you've got the perfect baby shower present!!

And books? Lots new there too. We now offer more sizes and paper options than ever before. Books now come with the option of a photographic hard cover. We also offer fold-flat pages which eliminates the problem of a portion of the image being lost in the gutter. Visit www.spinningyarnspress.com to see the latest books online.

Speaking of Spinning Yarns Press... The name is evolving. You can also access the website at www.robinarm.com. With so much more than books now available, it was time for a change. Look for more rebranding in the days to come!

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Is there any interest out there in photoshop tutoring? I've learned so many tricks to make images shine, I'm thinking of sharing. Please let me know if you might be interested in a training session -- $50 for a two hour session.

That's it for now. Enjoy the warm weather. Hope to see all of you soon!

Newborn models wanted

Are there any newborns out there? Now that I'm close to finishing my new, EXPANDED studio, I need some babies to photograph. I haven't done a lot of baby shoots -- mostly because it required a better space than I had. But now, I'm ready, with cute baby props to boot! If you're expecting and you would like a FREE photo shoot, just give me a call. The only catch? You have to come within two weeks of giving birth. I know that seems incredibly difficult, but it does make for the best pictures! Come on! Give it a try. I promise, you'll love the results! To reserve a spot for an upcoming delivery, call 248 770-1068. I know we can't lock in an exact date, but we can plan!

No matter what the season, Wilmette's Botanical Gardens are beautiful. And my favorite things to watch grow there? Zachary, Alex and Julia, of course!

On the Detroit River with Bayview Yacht Club Sailing Center

Wow! What a gorgeous day. The Bayview Yacht Club Sailing Center allowed me to spend a morning photographing Michael's sailing class for his family's book project. I had such a great day on the water! Thanks to all the folks at Bayview!
